As our Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs to valves, actuators, and other flow control equipment, as well as understand, diagnose faults, and compose digital condition reports based on findings, within a workshop team environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Assist Service Technicians and Lead Technicians diagnose faults and repair pneumatic and ELV electro pneumatic valve control systemsTest SRV Manual and Control/ Automated valves and pump equipment within the workshopCarry out small design and fabrication workMaintain a solid understanding of maintenance procedures and repairing of mechanical and automated valvingProficiently carry out workshop practices, demonstrating a safe and methodical work attitude with quality outcomesFollow all reasonable directions from senior technicians in aiding in repair of various valve types, PRV PSV or control valvesPrepare and clean components correctly and efficiently as directed utilizing safe workshop practicesAccurately prepare and tag nameplate labeling and fit to assorted valvesManage and complete daily planned activities, to meet Emerson and customer requirementsMeet goals set by the supervisor to achieve customer requirementsMake recommendations for driving cost reduction initiatives and technology improvementsRegularly review processes and make suggestions for improvementsObserve and abide by relevant policies, procedures, and strategiesDevelop and maintain working relationships with all employees and ensure regular communicationPerform any other duties as necessary in line with skills and capabilities as requestedWork productively and collaboratively with teammates to successfully implement OEM service strategies, ensuring right first time for quality, on time delivery and, customer focus, in alignment with Emerson Policy and ProceduresWho You AreYou have the ability to provide solutions to customer problems, with the ability to work under pressure. You have strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize to deal with competing demands. You have a flexible proactive attitude and very team oriented, yet able to work with minimal direction.
