About the OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Requirements Engineer DOORS (Dynamic Object Orientated Record) to join our Maritime Sustainment Business Unit, reporting to the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Technical Data Manager. We are flexible in terms of location and will accept applications from across Australia. We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working. The Requirements Engineer will act as a single point of contact for the Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) DOORS database supporting the definition and management of requirements for the DCE Program Upgrade. This responsibility will include the management and updating of the Requirements and System Safety data including all associated artefacts. These include: Key responsibilities include: Conduct requirements management activities, including managing document Export Controls and proposing changes/updates/alignments to the DDG Datasets. Review the effectivity of proposed dataset changes and export change notices. Conduct and participate in various reviews, and approve & incorporate changes in the DOORS database. Undertake DOORS module reconstruction, development, template development and documentation. Undertake DOORS Database test environment test case creation and production database migration planning and execution. Write DOORS training material and conduct DOORS user training. Assist technical staff with creating and using columns and views. Design custom reports and perform other analysis as the need arises. About YOU Demonstrated experience in advanced DOORS DXL scripting. Understanding of the System Development Lifecycle. Experience mentoring Systems Engineers in the use of DOORS and requirements best practice. A good understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering processes, methods and tools. Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain. Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
