The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Operational Risk Manager to oversee and support the implementation of a major Non-Financial Risk (NFR) initiative across the Institutional Division for an initial 7 month contract. This role focuses on providing independent oversight and expert guidance to ensure the effective delivery of the program while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and execution of a Line 2 Review & Challenge Program to monitor and enhance the adoption of the NFR initiative within the Institutional Division.
* Prepare and develop strategies to shape an effective oversight program, aligning with enterprise standards and working closely with the senior leadership team in operational risk and compliance.
* Utilise and analyse data to generate clear insights and recommendations, ensuring quality standards are met and areas for enhancement are identified.
* Act as a liaison for Institutional Line 2 teams to address queries, support information sharing, and foster the ongoing progress of the initiative.
* Deliver training and support for NFR frameworks, reporting, and system use to ensure the successful integration of the program within Business-as-Usual (BAU) practices.
* Contribute to collaborative projects and share feedback on framework and system developments at the enterprise level.
Your Profile:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* Significant experience in non-financial risk, operational risk, compliance, or audit roles.
* Proficiency in using risk management systems (e.g., IBM Open Pages, ServiceNow) and related dashboards and toolkits.
* Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data sets into actionable insights.
* Excellent relationship-building capabilities, including the ability to engage and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and international settings.
* Strategic thinking skills with the capacity to consider broader implications and interconnected challenges.
* A team-oriented mindset, aligned with a culture of continuous learning and development.
* The confidence to provide independent viewpoints and constructively challenge the status quo.
* Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with meticulous attention to detail.
