You will be joining our thriving Occupational Therapy team at Westmead Hospital, which is where you'll experience a highly supportive department with a positive team culture. We are a department of approximately 50 clinicians with varied skillsets and knowledge working with acute and rehabilitation patients in inpatient, outpatient and community settings. We are a cohesive team ensuring clinicians at all levels are involved in department development and decision-making processes to better the department and services we provide for our patients. For example, all OTs are involved in department portfolios and quality projects.
Supervision is a priority within our department, and we will establish the appropriate supervisory supports you require to reach your personal and professional goals.

What you'll be doing
This is a permanent full-time position within our department working as the Senior Occupational Therapist in the Geriatric inpatient team. This position will be responsible for a clinical caseload as well as supervising level 1/2 Occupational Therapists within the team. We are seeking strong leadership in this space and there are various other roles and responsibilities you will have as a Senior clinician in our department. Our Geri's team is part of the Acute stream within our department meaning you will be working alongside other acute senior clinicians and level 1/2 staff. There are three aged care wards in the hospital which your team is required to cover. The split of the wards is flexible pending clinical demands and staff capacity.
