The client Leading mining business with monumental growth seeking an experienced Mine Accountant to assist on-site for 3 month period.
Position Overview Mine Accountant will play a role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of mining operations.
This position involves a blend of accounting expertise and an understanding of the underground mining environment.
Will be heavily involved in delivering accurate month end results, budgets and forecasts preparation and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and other internal and external reports.
Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate financial statements and reports related to mining activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Monitor and analyse costs associated with mining operations, including labour, equipment, and materials, to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and conduct internal audits to maintain financial integrity within the organization.
Provide insights and recommendations to management on financial performance, investment opportunities, and risk management strategies.
Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Previous experience in Mine Accountant position within the mining sector, as it will provide familiarity with financial practices and challenges.
Previously experience within Gold mining, underground environment is desirable.
Experience in MS Office (Excel and Word) and Pronto.
High level of accuracy in financial reporting and record-keeping.
Effective communication abilities to convey financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
