SHE Advisor- Ebbw Vale
Full Time Role, Monday to Friday 39 hours per week
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to join our site in Ebbw Vale.

The SHE Advisor plays a critical role in supporting the effective implementation of the site’s SHE management system. This is a highly practical and proactive position, with the primary objective of preventing work-related illnesses and injuries. Success in this role requires exceptional engagement and influencing skills, as it involves working collaboratively across all levels of the organisation. In the absence of a SHE Manager, the SHE Advisor will act as the site’s designated competent person, assuming responsibility for maintaining compliance and promoting best practices. Additionally, the SHE Advisor will take ownership of, and provide leadership in, several key areas of the SHE management system, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organisational goals.
Salary: up to £40,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5pm & Friday: 8:30am – 4pm
Main Responsibilities
1. Support the reduction of SHE risks and hazards across the site
2. Support the site to achieve legal compliance
3. Deliver appropriate SHE training
4. Undertake workplace inspections and audits
5. Offer general SHE advice
6. Implement TCFG SHE management system
7. Comply with reporting and escalation requirements
8. Support the management of contractors and visitors (including PTW and contractor auditing)
9. Implement group initiatives and campaigns
10. Support the deployment TCFG strategy and systems
11. Lead and undertake risk assessment and risk management
12. Lead and undertake incident investigation and RCA
13. Keep accurate records and good document control (inline with TCFG requirements)
14. Investigate working environments for unsafe practices and conditions (implement appropriate improvements)
15. Update compliance documents for SHE matters
16. Report and take appropriate action against SHE violations
17. Maintain and audit safety-critical procedures
18. Perform governance as required by the SHE management system
19. Maintain appropriate level of SHE competency
20. Deputise in the absence of a SHE manager
21. Liaise with enforcing authorities (or other interested parties) as appropriate
22. Attend SHE community calls and forums as required
23. Effectively contribute to wider SHE community across TCFG
Skills We Are Looking For
1. Level 3 Health and Safety qualification and Environmental qualification
2. Good knowledge of specific work task (3-5 years in similar role)
3. Manufacturing industry experience
