Electrical Compliance Inspector
Joining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters. As our Electrical Compliance Inspector, you will be based in Bentley, travelling weekly to Regional locations and responsible for undertaking complex inspection, investigation, and auditing activities, through utilising extensive technical and electrical knowledge and skills, to ensure the safety of consumer installations connected to the network, in compliance with Horizon Power's Inspection System Plan and regulatory obligations.
This is a full time opportunity on a 18 month maximum term contract basis. With a generous package including basic salary, 11.5% Superannuation, overtime and travel allowance.
Your role will include:
• Complying with the regulatory and technical requirements of Horizon Power's Inspection System Plan as agreed with, and approved by, Building and Energy Division.
• Executing electrical inspections within consumer installations in line with Horizon Powers' endorsed Inspection System Plan and methods.
• Executing incident and breach investigations relating to serious electrical incidents and non-compliance of the Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991 WA (including shocks and fires) within consumers installations.
• Providing specialist advice relating to compliance to electrical contractors regarding consumer installations.
You will have:
• Eligibility to be designated as an Inspector (Electrical).
• Current Electrical Workers Licence.
• Extensive post trade electrical industry experience in is required.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant electrical Acts and Regulations driving electrical compliance in Western Australia.
• Significant knowledge of Australian Standards driving electrical safety compliance.
