The TeamVirtual Banking are the customer service specialists of the Westpac Group, providing the best service over the phone, to millions of our customers every year. Our aim is to provide a seamless banking experience for our customers, with a goal of being one of the world's best contact centres.
How will I help?
The role of a Connect Chat Banker is to service and fulfil banking needs of customers quickly, accurately, and efficiently on a range of general banking enquiries while achieving specific performance objectives aligned to the role.
As a Connect Chat Banker, you’ll be responsible for providing outstanding customer service primarily via live chat to our St George and Westpac clients.
What do I need?
Our ideal candidate has strong communication skills and an ability to navigate numerous systems to support our customers. You will describe yourself as a curious and inquisitive problem solver, able to find the best solutions for your clients. Furthermore, you’ll be passionate about delivering great service with care and respect. You’ll have the ability to multitask with exceptional attention to detail, which will be critical to your success in this role. In addition, the below requirements will also be highly regarded:
Experience servicing complex customer enquiries in a structured environment
Strong communication skills, able to provide complex solutions in written form and in a professional manner
Solutions driven, able to provide appropriate solutions to customers in a timely manner
Technically savvy
A self-starter and proactive professional, interested in starting a career in banking and finance
To be successful in this role, you’ll be required to work across our operating hours Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Penalty rates apply.

We will be investing a wealth of time and resources in your learning. RG146 national accreditation will be provided.
Incremental salary increases will be applied as you progress through the training journey.
