Job Title: Senior Moodle DeveloperLocation: East Coast, USA (Remote)Job Type: Full-TimePosition Overview: As a Senior Moodle Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Moodle-based e-learning platforms.You will work closely with instructional designers, project managers, and other developers to build custom solutions that enhance the functionality and user experience of our Moodle environments.Key Responsibilities: Moodle Development: Lead the development and customization of Moodle plugins, themes, and integrations.PHP Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP code to extend and customize Moodle functionalities.JavaScript & TypeScript: Develop and maintain front-end components using JavaScript and TypeScript, ensuring responsive and dynamic user interfaces.System Integration: Integrate Moodle with third-party applications and services to enhance the overall e-learning ecosystem.Performance Optimization: Optimize Moodle performance, including database queries, caching, and front-end loading times.Technical Leadership: Mentor junior developers, provide technical guidance, and ensure adherence to best practices in coding and development.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical input, and develop solutions that meet project goals.Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Moodle functionality, performance, and integrations.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Moodle development.Strong experience in PHP, JavaScript, and TypeScript.Proven experience with Moodle architecture, including custom plugin and theme development.Experience in integrating Moodle with other systems and APIs.Skills: In-depth knowledge of Moodle LMS and its various modules.Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and RESTful APIs.Proficiency in database management, particularly MySQL or PostgreSQL.Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Location: Ideally based on the East Coast, USA, to facilitate collaboration with our team and clients.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in managing Moodle environments in a cloud-based infrastructure.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.Previous experience in educational technology or e-learning environments.Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 a year #J-18808-Ljbffr
