About The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a talented Cybersecurity Engagement Officer who will enhance cyber awareness across the University by implementing the Cyber Engagement Strategy, including creating dynamic content for various communication channels.Your responsibilities will include: Developing dynamic, engaging, and relevant content for University digital platforms, including Viva Engage, Staff Hub, and the University website. Planning and executing engagement events to enhance cybersecurity awareness among staff and students. Leading the planning and implementation of the Cybersecurity Champions Network in collaboration with subject matter experts. Supporting the Engagement Manager in creating and delivering cybersecurity training and educational initiatives. Who We Are Looking ForWe’re looking for people who are passionate about communicating complex or technical ideas in a way that everyone can understand, and who have experience working with diverse audiences and stakeholders. You will uplift cybersecurity culture at the University and empower people to see themselves as active participants in our cyber defence.You will also have: A tertiary qualification in Communications, Events, Marketing or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training. Proven experience in effectively implementing communication and engagement processes within large or complex environments. Strong written communication skills with a proven track record in translating complex, technical jargon into easy-to-understand material. Strong proficiency in standard software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience in web administration, graphic design, or video production/editing is desirable. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
