About the Role
This role is pivotal in supporting the current pediatric service requirements and maintaining a specialized pediatric stoma service for the neonatal and pediatric demographic at Monash Health.
The Paediatric Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) Stomal Therapy, Wound Care & Urology role is a Senior Nursing position across Monash Children's who is responsible for pediatric stoma, wound management, and urology reviews and coordination and education for pediatric patients throughout the continuum of care.
The Paediatric Stomal Therapy, Wound Care and Urology CNC is an active member of the multidisciplinary team and contributes expertise to patient care by engaging key stakeholders in all stages of the patient journey and works across the entire continuum of care, including specialist clinics, pre-admission clinics, and inpatient units.
About You
You are an experienced and enthusiastic nurse leader ready to take the next step in your career. The ideal candidate has extensive recent and relevant clinical experience in Pediatric Stomal therapy, wound care, and urology nursing, demonstrating appropriate competencies and skills, inclusive of inpatient, outpatient, home, and community care.
* Extensive recent and relevant clinical experience in Pediatric Stomal therapy, wound care, and urology nursing, demonstrating appropriate competencies and skills.
* Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and evidence-based practice in the provision of care in Pediatric Stomal therapy, wound care, pediatric urology, and pressure injury advice.
* Certificate of Stomal Therapy
* Qualifications in Wound Care Management and Health Education
* Postgraduate qualifications in Pediatric Nursing desirable
