The site produces a staggering 35 tonnes of lactoferrin extract annually. Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring iron building protein found in milk, and it is regarded for its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties. We are looking for Koroit’s new Quality Manager This role provides Food Safety guidance for the sites’ operational activities as well as setting standards, evaluating risk, and supporting growth and improvement. The role will support the design & execution of quality management processes and will ensure that all products are safe and consistent. We are looking for someone highly experienced who has worked in a people management role in the quality space before. Being able to create, influence and build buy in from all levels in food safety culture is critical. This role is based on site at Bega in Koroit, 5 days a week with flexible start and finish times. There is also a requirement to be on call on occasion. Responsibilities Oversee and lead the team and mgmt. of Quality across the site Manage external audit process & non-conformities, corrective and preventative actions arising from external audits (including reporting) to ensure timely follow up. Manage quality control calibration verification activities for Food Safety Critical Control Points (CCP) & Quality Control Points (QCP). Conduct Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Audits and challenge the effectiveness of current GMP procedures Manage and control change activities for effectiveness and continual improvement. Provide monthly reports to drive improvement within process. About you Experience as a Quality Manager or Supervisor within a food manufacturing environment Working knowledge of key quality standards; GFSI (BRC preferred), HACCP, and GMP Leadership experience, with the ability to influence, lead and coach a diverse range of direct reports & stakeholders Experience in Root cause analysis and roster mgmt. Strong influencing and coaching skills Strong team ethic with the ability to build collaborative relationships and support roster mgmt.
