About the opportunity: Our Global Supply Chain team are seeking a dynamic leader for the Transport Control Tower at the Distribution Centre, Ingleburn NSW. You'll oversee transport operations across the Pacific Zone, ensuring safety, service, quality, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
The Transport Control Tower Lead will monitor the flow of shipments from sources globally and last-mile-to-customer domestically.
Reporting to the Director of Logistics, DC Operations and Transport, this role also manages specific events impacting transport shipments (can include weather, capacity constraints, traffic delays, damage) to mitigate service impacts to customers and provide a high level of end-to-end communication to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities: Managing inbound International and outbound Domestic transport and transport performance including safety, service, quality, sustainability, and costDaily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews with our Carrier Partners and support groups (Customer Care, Planning, Warehousing) inside the Control Tower located in our Distribution CentreReview and monitor performance dashboards and drive continuous improvement actionsProvide pro-active notifications and alerts to customers on shipment delaysAbout you: To see success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate 5 years of experience in Supply Chain across transport, freight forwarding and logistics fields or information system technology management.
Your agile approach will be supported by a tertiary qualification in Logistics and Transport Management or a relevant field focusing on Transport and Freight Forwarding or Information Systems Technology relating to transport and logistics.
Key skills and experience: Knowledge in transportation daily operations, 3PL industry know-how, and an understanding of supply chainGood knowledge in SAP/OTM/EDI, Microsoft Office suite, great communication, interpersonal and analytical skillsProven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumenA growth mindset through well-developed digital skills and a technical aptitudeWell-developed interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to a customer centric approachAll applicants must have working rights in Australia at the time of application and will be required to provide documented evidence if selected for Interview.
