About the role The Production Operator, Forklift Driver roleis a Full-Time position, based at Yarraville, VIC. Reporting to the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for operating a range of fixed and mobile plant in a dynamic environment to manufacture high-quality products. The main purpose of this role will be to assist in the production of Gyprock, Cornice, Plasters, Acrylics & Compounds products. Shift Pattern : 12 hour shifts rotating working day (06:00-18:00) and night (18:00-06:00). Every 2nd weekend will be off – Fri, Sat and Sun. In this role you will : Operating machinery and ensuring materials are produced to the commercial standard, performing quality checks as required. Identify and report equipment and product faults. Unload and stage (put away) various products. Be involved in identifying risks and hazards and contributing to initiatives that focus on improving quality. Housekeeping and other duties as required. Forklift driving required (3T or above) and complete pre-start checklists. What you bring to the role A great work ethic and strong commitment to safe work practices & high regard for safety Ability to interact well with others and join the team The ability to multitask in a fast paced, ever-changing environment High attention to detail, with good mechanical mind and trouble shooting ability Computer literacy and experience with ERP / HMI – highly desired Willingness to work a rotating roster. Proven success in a similar role, preferably in a high volume, multiple stage continuous manufacturing / factory environment is desirable.
