Asset Performance Officer - Housing/Property As an Asset Performance Officer you will work within the Capital Maintenance Team as part of Portfolio Management Assets (PMA).
You will take responsibility for undertaking and reporting on field inspection activities/outcomes to scope and monitor the delivery of work and verify contractor compliance with maintenance contract requirements.
The role will support the local administration and delivery of maintenance contracts, primarily through the preparation of office estimates and by contributing to development of the Quarterly Program of Works.
Candidates for this role must hold a relevant qualification and/or have sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop, implement and manage a planned maintenance program using Property Assessment Survey (PAS) data and local knowledge for allocated properties.
Deliver timely, accurate and effective scoping of works by adhering to the scoping program.
Ensure appropriate delivery of works and develop action plans to address work issues when necessary.
Ensure compliance with Australian Building Codes, Housing Portfolio standards, policies and contract requirements when assigning work to contractors.
Conduct timely, accurate inspections according to the program and standards, maintaining records of inspections and required actions.
Build and maintain positive relationships with contractors to facilitate effective inspection and maintenance programs.
Identify and resolve compliance issues in collaboration with contractors, issuing performance (defect) notices when required.
Report emerging issues to management and provide recommendations to improve asset program delivery and minimise impacts.
Please note you will work from our client's offices in Orange NSW in a hybrid working model.
Regular travel (including some overnight) will be required.
About You
You will be an experienced Asset Performance Officer with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
Excellent problem solving skills, project management skills and experience, and analytical skills to investigate and analyse information systems to support decision making.
Understanding of the Australian Building Codes, Australian Standards, Government or commercial probity and contracting standards.
Relevant qualification and/or sound construction building maintenance and/or building construction experience/exposure, together with field inspection experience and measurement of performance against standards.
Possess, or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Essential) MS Excel (essential) and MS Project (desirable) skills.
Current NSW driver's licence.
