From road, rail, and coastal sea forwarding to export packing and wharf lodgement, we deliver seamless, end-to-end logistics solutions that keep businesses moving.About the role:We have a fantastic opportunity within our K&S Freighters for a dedicated Operations Support where you will be reporting to the Operation Supervisor. The Operations Support role oversees the client’s contract requirements, ensuring the customer’s products are loaded, transported, and delivered safely and professionally. This includes prioritizing the wellbeing of colleagues and third parties while adhering to K&S company objectives.Responsibilities:Coordinate drivers and movements to deliver daily customer requirements (Alcoa/KCA) including preloading trucks and the occasional delivery to support the operation as required.Effectively engage company resources to ensure the operation functions comply with relevant HS&E, Quality and P&C practices.Ensure compliance with process and procedures in conjunction with the site supervisor.Ensure equipment is serviced/repaired in a timely manner and in line with Customer/Manufacturer requirements.Ensure all staff comply with K&S policies and procedures.Maintain strong safety culture and compliance to NHVR & Mass/Maintenance Management regulations.Provide guidance and motivate employees to ensure maximum productivity.Provide the site Supervisor with updates on deliver completions and daily progress.Report to the supervisor on any issues affecting operations, including safety, customer service, and people management aspects.Success Profile:Computer-savvy with basic understanding of Microsoft software suites – Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.Exceptional organisational skills, ability to prioritise, pay attention to detail and demonstrate accountability.Effective leadership and people management skills with ability to delegate.Strong knowledge and understanding of the transportation industry, particularly in fleet operation.Strong ability to set and achieve targets.Strong Safety focus – safe systems of work.Strong communication skills, a clear understanding of customer requirements, the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.To uphold our core value of “Everybody Safe Everyday”, a police check and pre-employment medical will be required to be successful in this role.We foster a warm supportive culture grounded in our values: Safety, Customer Service, People and Community, and Innovation.We are looking for people who share our values!
