You will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and overseeing various projects within our organisation. Responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Required to effectively work with cross-functional teams, communicate with stakeholders, and manage resources to ensure that project success is achieved. The role will require you to be diverse, strategic and adaptive to change. This is a hugely exciting project for someone looking to get diverse experience in defence.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine project scope, goals, and deliverables.Be involved with scheduling and planning for a new project.Work collaboratively in a team dealing with various stakeholders.Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines and resource allocation.Create and maintain project documentation, such as schedules, budgets, and risk assessments.Effectively manage projects, ensuring project deliverables are met.Identify and mitigate risk.Work alongside the senior program manager across budget and resource management, quality assistance and change management.What you'll need to succeedExperience working in a project engineering environment and understanding of project management methodologies.Demonstrated experience managing Australian Defence projects and contracts.Tertiary qualification in Engineering.Tertiary qualification in Project Management/Business Management or Project Management Professional Certification (PMP/PMBOK) (required).Defence industry experience.Experience with project management tools.NV1 and ITAR eligible.What you'll get in returnYou will be working as part of a global defence manufacturing business, with a large organisation with huge plans for growth and a specific focus in R&D.
