The Quality Manager will plan, and direct activities related to the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. This role involves leading a team of quality professionals, overseeing complex projects, and ensuring compliance with both customer and company quality requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead and manage a team of quality employees, either within a group office or on specific project portions, ensuring effective performance and adherence to quality standards.
Research & Development: Plan, conduct, and direct research and development work on complex quality projects, applying new and innovative approaches to enhance quality processes.
Advanced Knowledge Application: Utilize advanced knowledge to oversee and complete projects, ensuring high standards and successful outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that products are designed, procured, and installed in alignment with customer and company quality requirements, maintaining adherence to established budgets.
Decision-Making: Make frequent, informed decisions using professional judgment and quality principles to address complex issues.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical inspiration and leadership to co-workers, offering guidance and consultation to support quality objectives.
Program Leadership: Lead quality assurance and quality control efforts on assigned programs and areas, ensuring that products meet quality standards throughout their lifecycle.
System Development: Oversee the development and implementation of new systems, procedures, and quality activities to enhance overall quality management.
Problem Solving: Analyze, evaluate, and plan approaches to resolve complex technical problems, organizing resources and methods effectively.
Investigations & Testing: Conduct investigations and tests of significant complexity, reviewing processes and evaluating results to ensure quality standards are met.
Vendor Evaluation: Assess and evaluate vendor capabilities to ensure they can provide required products or services meeting quality expectations.
Specialization: May specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, inventory control, product reliability, research and development, or administrative application.
Technical Consultation: Offer technical consultation to engineers, technicians, and inspectors, providing expertise and support for quality-related challenges.
Supplier Liaison: Act as a liaison with outside suppliers to establish or modify specifications for purchased items, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Testing Procedures: Develop and apply testing procedures for parts or sub-assemblies received from outside vendors to ensure they meet required specifications.
Quality Programs: Participate in the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control and reliability programs, contributing to continuous improvement.
Corrective Actions: Recommend and implement corrective actions to address quality problems, ensuring effective resolution and prevention of recurrence.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a quality management role or area of specialization.
3. Lead Auditor/Auditor Certification is desired.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills, with a working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to travel as required for the role.

Minimum Qualifications :
7. Bachelors degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
8. Experience: 8 years experience in area of specialization.
9. Lead Auditor/Auditor Certificate desired.
10. Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
11. Position requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph, adjudicated or PR within the last four (4) years.
12. Position may require travel.
