The City is seeking an experienced and suitably qualified person to oversee the management of the City’s infrastructure asset management strategies, plans, inventories, processes, and systems. This role is responsible for asset accounting processes and reporting related to City infrastructure, as well as developing the annual five-year capital works program. Additionally, the position involves managing people, finances, projects, and contracts while delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
This position involves a diverse array of responsibilities and requires strong leadership and a commitment to timely delivery of projects. The successful candidate will possess significant experience in both strategic and operational asset management, particularly with high-profile and complex initiatives. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria:
* Postgraduate tertiary qualification in Civil or Public Works Engineering, Information Systems and/or Asset Management or working towards postgraduate tertiary qualification with extensive experience.
* IPWEA Professional Certificate of Asset Management Planning or equivalent relevant experience.
* Diploma Project Management and Contract Management or equivalent experience.
* Experience with people management tasks.
* Highly developed report writing skills.
