Electrical Building Services - Team Lead
Following significant project wins across the business, an exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced engineer to lead electrical building services team in Adelaide.
As the Electrical Building Services Team Lead, your role is critical in managing and guiding a team of electrical design engineers. You’ll oversee projects across the KBR Defence and Buildings portfolio, as well as getting involved with other market sectors including water and transport nationally. Your responsibilities extend from providing technical expertise to ensuring project success and fostering innovation within the team.
You will lead and mentor the team with your role responsible for assigning responsibilities, setting project priorities, and ensuring efficient project execution. Investigating and addressing issues described in work requests and assigning personnel for project design are also part of your role.

Key Responsibilities include:
1. Lead the design and development of electrical systems and components for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
2. Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, managing timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
3. Provide technical expertise in electrical engineering, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to incorporate innovative solutions into our projects
4. Work closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within the overall project scope
5. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee the reliability and performance of electrical systems. Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure compliance with specifications
Qualifications and Experience
6. Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
7. Minimum of 10 years electrical engineering experience, ideally in a consulting environment
8. Previous consulting/design/technical experience in the Buildings and or defence industry as an electrical engineer including LV, communications/ICT, security and vertical transport experience. Site infrastructure and HV experience will be highly regarded.
9. Registration as a Chartered Engineer/Chartered Professional Engineer/RPEQ (or the ability to become so within 6 months)
10. Project management and proposal preparation experience along with the ability to write clearly and fluently about technical subjects or project delivery methodologies
11. Ability to prepare and verify design calculations using either manual methods or with the aid of computer applications
12. Exposure to business development and marketing activities would be highly regarded
