Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the delivery of the Wakulda Program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct detailed analysis, develop and execute a planned approach to remediate the Wakulda Program compliance with the latest Security Classification and Categorisation Guide.
2. Conduct technical analysis of customer System Change Requests, including strategy for integration into the Wakulda Mission System.
3. Work with the Engineering Leadership team and customer focals to support detailed analysis and planning to develop and remediate the Wakulda System Development Management Plan.
4. Collaborate with the Engineering Team Manager to ensure the engineering scope is planned, scheduled and delivered within the quality, schedule and budgetary constraints of the Wakulda project.
5. Support the Chief Engineer and Technical Lead Engineers to establish and maintain an Engineering Excellence culture.
6. Lead the engineering change through key design reviews including development approval and other technical design reviews.
7. Mentor less experienced engineers including teaching, guiding and coaching.
About You
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in complex technical development and integration projects.
* A strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles and lifecycle management, including Mandated System Reviews.
* Experience developing and executing against Systems Engineering artefacts including Systems Engineering Management Plan and Verification and Validation Plans.
* Demonstrated technical leadership and coordination qualities, working on behalf of the Engineering Team Manager, to deliver technical solutions.
* Experience with Change Management processes and progressing change management artefacts.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
* Experience in estimating, planning, managing and reporting progress of technical work scope is desirable.
* Experience with aerospace and/or defence projects is highly regarded.
* Experience in supporting projects in an ASDEFCON contract environment is highly regarded.
