$69,344 pa (includes industry allowance and uniform allowance) + 12% super (level 5)76 hour fortnightAs a Multi Skilled Plant Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our roads and drains operations team. Your primary responsibilities will include the daily operation of medium sized plant items, primarily focusing on operating a skid steer while working within the team responsible for maintaining road edges. This position will involve performing critical road maintenance tasks with the whole asphalting team which will include:operating skid steers with specialised attachments for tasks such as milling road edges and moving materialstransporting machinery by driving the truck and trailer carrying equipment to work sitesoccasional general labouring to support the teams working in the flocon trucksAnother key aspect of this role is maintaining high safety standards by conducting comprehensive pre-start equipment checks and promptly reporting any equipment defects, safety concerns or project related issues.About youIdeally you will bring recent hands on experience operating skid steers in similar road maintenance environments. Experience working with asphalt is highly desirable. Your background will demonstrate proficiency in handling a variety of medium sized plant items typically used in civil construction and maintenance projects, with an emphasis on operating skid steers.Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.To complement your practical experience, you must also possess:a current truck licence (minimum Heavy Combination - HC class)Certification to operate a Skid Steer (LS)Certification to operate at least one other item of plant (roller, excavator, backhoe, grader or front end loader)This combination of practical experience and formal qualifications will ensure you're well equipped to excel in this dynamic role, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our roads maintenance operations.Why City of Moreton Bay?What you do with your life matters.
