Banking & Finance Banking - Compliance Sydney Permanent / Full Time CPS220, CPS230 Operational Risk Management Banking or Consulting experience To assist with the review, management and completion of Operational Risk matters (including those relating to internal and external audits, HOP and IOP implementation and monitoring and general support relating to operational risk matters). To assist with related analysis, reporting, planning and management of operational risk matters by supporting the Senior Manager, RCD and if required provide assistance with project management for branch wide projects. Responsibilities: • Management of key stakeholder relationships in relation to operational risk matters including by providing independent assurance within the RCD Department. • Detailed understanding and know ledge of internal audit, operational risk, banking business and procedures to successfully manage operational risk matters • Providing accurate, timely and comprehensive reporting to key stakeholders including Senior Management and the CRO. • Understanding APRA Prudential Standard’s to ensure the appropriate management of operational risk matters and to be able to respond to both internal and external audits obligations of RCD. • Maintaining open communication to ensure targeted review s (including internal and external audits) progress and are successfully completed. • Clear prioritization & focus on supporting the strengthening of internal operational risk control function. • Managing key stakeholder relationships by providing assistance and support to ensure the successful management of operational risk matters, including in relation to any internal or external audit related matters. • Clear prioritisation & focus on business initiatives that support the strengthening of internal control. • Understanding and clarifying the purpose/intent of Head Office (HO) policies and procedures, and ensure communication of HO materials are clearly and consistently articulated to and understood by staff. Skills Required: • Previous experience in Internal Audit within Banking. • Strong understanding of Australian Prudential requirements, financial markets environment and products. • Strong project management and time management skills i.e. the ability to deliver to deadlines. • Fluent in English • Excellent skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. • Experience in work flow systems.
