This role oversees data management (master data, reference data, data quality, metadata), data governance and usage practices (access management, data privacy), ensuring data is secure, protected and used according to regulations. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.What will your day look like?The Data Governance Analyst will be required to combine your experience spanning analysis and engineering of systems and processes as well as your data management skills in order to help assess the division's end to end data environment, forming a view of the required uplift in conjunction with controls uplift and the business teams.As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be accountable for:Partnering with our stakeholders and supporting capabilities to achieve Customer and Banker outcomes where data underpins the requirement statement or goalManaging data quality issues and driving remediation strategies and executionAnalysing and ensuring data aspects are a key part of process and system evolution, including partnering in the delivery of solutions in collaboration with the business, technology and initiative teamsMapping and cataloguing data elements and data assets and addressing any data quality shortcomings identified in our Divisions dataDelivering against committed milestones with the wider Good Portfolio Management and Data Management teamsIdentifying and proposing ways to address constraints that hinder progress, escalating as appropriateWhat will you bring?To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:Experience identifying, analysing, modelling and resolving data quality issuesUnderstanding of metadata and data lineage; Designing for data simplification; Defining and leveraging data assets; Defining and applying Accountability for data; Understanding of the data lifecycleExperience planning, sizing and executing activities with Agile in mind, as well as building a business case from a data perspective and selling this to senior leaders across our organizationComfortable building trusted and productive relationships across the organisation with a strong ability to influence and succeed through collaborationA highly collaborative approach, with strong stakeholder engagement skills, encouraging sharing of knowledge within and across teamsExtensive business analysis experience with understanding of data quality and data protection / privacy management practicesAn ability to provide leadership and direction for direct and indirect reports, demonstrating personal commitment to coaching, mentoring and succession planningYou’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
