Townsville University Hospital, the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia, provides specialist referral services for people living from Mackay up to the Torres Strait and out to the Northern Territory border.
The Medical Education and Workforce Services are seeking a Deputy Director of Clinical Training to join their team on a fixed term temporary part-time basis, commencing 01/01/2025 to 31/12/2026, with the possibility of extension, not exceeding 2 years.
About the opportunity:
Position: Deputy Director of Clinical Training
Vacancy: Fixed term temporary part-time, 40 hours per fortnight, 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2026, with the possibility of extension up to 2 years
Location: Medical Education and Workforce Services, Townsville University Hospital
Generous remuneration package value up to $536,916 p.a. comprising:
* Salary range of $6980.10 to $10,221.70 p.f. (L13-L27)
* Annual leave with 17.5% loading
* 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
* Attraction and retention incentive allowance (35% base salary)
* Motor vehicle allowance between $21,000 and $25,500 p.a.
* Professional development allowance of $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
* Plus, a Clinical/Medical Managers Allowance will be paid fortnightly.
* Salary Sacrificing options may be available
Requirements:
* The successful applicant must be registered as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Postgraduate qualifications in medical education will be highly regarded.
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted including Criminal History Clearance.
