About the Role
Our client, a well-established and highly regarded insurance brokerage with an exceptionally strong brand, is seeking an experienced and strategic Branch Manager to oversee their Perth branch and manage operations for the Broome branch. This leadership position, based in Perth, will be critical in driving business growth, managing a talented team, and ensuring the successful delivery of exceptional insurance solutions across both locations.
The Perth branch consists of a team of 5 staff and serves a diverse range of clients. The Broome branch, part of the broader WA branch, has 2 staff. As Branch Manager, you will have full accountability for the strategic direction, operational success, and performance of both branches, ensuring alignment across locations.
This is an ideal opportunity for a leader with at least 7 years of strong broking experience, a proven track record in insurance leadership, and the ability to manage multiple locations. Key Responsibilities
As Branch Manager, your role will include:
* Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 7 staff across both Perth and Broome. Although based in Perth, you will oversee the operations of the Broome branch, ensuring both teams are aligned, engaged, and performing to their potential. Your leadership will focus on driving a high-performance culture that empowers employees to excel.
* Strategic Business Development: Develop and implement strategies for business growth, including client acquisition, retention, and expansion. You will identify opportunities to strengthen relationships with existing clients while also cultivating new business to drive long-term growth across both branches.
* Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with key clients in both Perth and Broome. You will be responsible for ensuring that the brokerage provides exceptional service, delivers tailored insurance solutions, and consistently meets or exceeds client expectations.
* Financial Management and Growth: Take full responsibility for the financial performance of both the Perth and Broome branches. This includes tracking performance metrics, ensuring profitability, and leading the branches toward sustainable revenue growth.
* Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of both branches, ensuring that both locations run smoothly and efficiently. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, streamline workflows, and continuously improve processes to enhance client service and operational efficiency.
* Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with senior leadership to provide regular performance reports, feedback, and updates on key strategic initiatives. You will contribute to broader business objectives and ensure that both branches are aligned with the overall goals of the brokerage.
* Brand Representation and Market Leadership: Represent the brokerage as a leading brand in both Perth and Broome. Participate in industry events, local business initiatives, and networking opportunities to enhance the brokerage’s reputation, attract new clients, and maintain strong relationships within the market.
What You Will Bring
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* At Least 7 Years of Strong Broking Experience: You bring extensive experience in the insurance industry, with a solid background in managing complex client portfolios, providing tailored risk management solutions, and driving business growth.
* Proven Leadership Experience: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading teams across multiple locations. You have a history of building high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring staff, and driving results in both Perth and Broome.
* Business Development and Strategic Acumen: A successful track record of acquiring new clients, building long-term business relationships, and driving growth. You will be strategic in identifying opportunities for development and have a clear vision for the future of both branches.
* Financial and Analytical Expertise: Strong financial management skills, with experience overseeing branch performance, managing budgets, and achieving revenue growth. You will have the ability to analyze performance metrics, set targets, and drive financial success.
* In-Depth Insurance Knowledge: A deep understanding of insurance products and risk management, with a Tier 1 qualification in Insurance Broking. Your technical knowledge will help guide both teams and ensure the brokerage delivers tailored solutions to clients.
* Client-Centric Approach: A passion for delivering exceptional client service and building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients. You will be proactive in identifying and meeting clients’ needs, ensuring the brokerage remains a trusted advisor.
* Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels. You will engage effectively with clients, internal teams, and senior management.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:
* Tier 1 Qualification in Insurance Broking is essential.
* Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) or similar qualifications are highly desirable.
* 7+ years of proven experience in broking, with a comprehensive understanding of insurance products and client services.
* Previous experience managing multiple locations or branches is highly desirable.
