We have a Part time position available. This is a permanent opportunity. You will be responsible for providing active support with activities of daily living and developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Plans including personal care. Our group home is situated in the Inner Melbourne suburb of Elwood.
We are looking for a hard working, focused and team-oriented person to provide active support to the residents. You must be proactive, able to think on your feet during shifts. Our residents have a range of support needs. Experience supporting clients with behaviours of concern and experience with non-verbal communication styles is beneficial. You will engage with our residents and their respective support networks, including families.

The available roles have the following roster requirements:
Roster splits: 38:30/33:00 – This roster is a mix of morning & afternoon shifts, including 1 sleepover shift per month.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the day-to-day running of the house
* Develop planned activities in line with policies and guidelines
* Liaise with family members, medical services, departmental services, and external services to help meet client needs
* Administer medication treatments and therapies according to prescribed protocols or seek appropriate medical assistance
* Implement development programs and identify and support learning opportunities
Qualifications & Experience:
* Certificate 4 in Disability
* A current First Aid Certificate
* A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities
* A hands-on leader and team player with positive behaviour support experience and leadership capabilities
* The ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and support their Individual Personal Plan
* Ability to apply behaviour management strategies in a complex and challenging environment
* Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential
* Demonstrated compliance with NDIS requirements for Disability Support Workers
