About Your New Role:
Take control of the payroll function and provide support in Accounts Payable. Key responsibilities include:
* Managing fortnightly payroll for approximately 250 employees.
* Handling and resolving payroll queries and managing the query inbox.
* Setting up new starters.
* Processing termination payments.
* Reconciling workers' compensation.
* Calculating and processing payments, deductions, PAYG, etc.
* Month-end reporting and reconciliations.
* Assisting Accounts Payable (2 days a week) with invoice and payment processing.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you will have:
* A proven track record in payroll management within a full-function/end-to-end capacity.
* Knowledge and understanding of Australian employment law and interpreting Awards & EBAs.
* Knowledge/exposure to large payroll systems.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with relevant departments and employees.
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
