We serve more than 1.3 million licence holders and assist them with completing a range of registration and licensing transactions for their vehicles, trailers and boats. The Opportunity The Service Delivery Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused government services to the South Australian community. Reporting to the Region Manager, this position is responsible for managing staff, overseeing the accuracy of information and transactions, and addressing equipment and on-site facility issues within their scope of control. As the Manager, A primary focus of the role is to lead, coach, and mentor staff, cultivating the skills and behaviours needed to effectively support a diverse customer base. The Service Delivery Manager ensures customers receive exceptional service and outcomes, always aligned with established policies and procedures. Being in a position of trust, and with access to confidential information, the Manager is to maintain privacy of information and instil this value with the team. About You To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following attributes: Leadership: Prioritise safety and wellbeing for yourself, others, and the community, taking proactive action to prevent complacency and utilising safety systems effectively. Communication and Transparency: Foster open communication, ensuring all team members contribute, and approach difficult conversations with honesty and openness. Customer Service Excellence: Support the Department’s Customer Service Charter and take responsibility for delivering consistent service excellence. Judgement and Decision-Making: Use sound judgment and data analysis to make informed, evidence-based decisions within your authority. Goal Setting and Performance Management: Set clear goals and performance standards, focusing on both output and behaviour to drive team success. Compliance and Process Oversight: Implement processes and controls to ensure policy compliance, tracking and monitoring their effectiveness. Special Conditions A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years. A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be renewed every five years before expiry. Must be prepared to be reassigned to different Service SA locations during periods of staff absences and high workloads or as required to meet business needs. This position is based in Berri. Some out of hours may be required. Weekend work (Saturday) will be required; and Some intra / interstate travel may be required.
