Description: About the RoleWe are looking for a compassionate and skilled Team Leader to oversee the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) program.
The CPS Team Leader will guide a team of Recovery Workers to deliver high-quality psychosocial support to individuals living with severe mental health conditions who are ineligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).This role requires a strong leader who will ensure program compliance, monitor service delivery, and support recovery-focused approaches in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Quality Assurance and ComplianceOversee program operations to meet CPS funding guidelines and organizational policies, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and risk management practices.Program DeliveryManage the tailored, recovery-focused psychosocial support provided to clients.
Oversee assessments, goal-setting, and individual recovery plans.Team Leadership and DevelopmentProvide supervision, mentorship, and operational leadership to a dedicated team of Recovery Workers, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, community services, and external stakeholders.
Advocate for client needs and service improvement.About the ServiceThe Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) program is funded by WAPHA (Western Australian Primary Health Alliance) and provides time-limited support to eligible individuals who focus on building capacity and stability in the following areas:Social skills and connections, including family connectionsDay-to-day living skillsFinancial management and budgetingFinding and maintaining a homeVocational skills and goalsMaintaining physical well-being, including exerciseBuilding broader life skills including confidence and resilienceSkills and Experiences: About YouTo be considered for this role, you will need to have:Qualifications And CertificatesBachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field.Current National Police Clearance Certificate (no older than six months)A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)A current working with Children CheckA current NDIS Worker Screening CheckA valid Driver's licenceSkills And ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in mental health services, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.Proven experience working with marginalized groups, including Aboriginal, CaLD, and LGBTIQ+ communities.Strong commitment to consumer-centred care and recovery-focused services.Experience in case management, service delivery, or program development.DesirableLived experience of mental health recovery or as family members of people with a lived experience of recovery is desirable.Skills in project management and familiarity with Australian mental health legislation.AttitudePositive attitude towards people experiencing mental distress.The ability to live RW values in all workplace tasks and interactions.Pro-active individual who is enthusiastic and committed to upholding RW values and principles.This role is full time working Monday to Friday, based in Cannington.About UsRichmind WA is a leading West Australian mental health organisation, providing inclusive, community-based residential and outreach services for adults and young people.
