Role and Responsibilities:
As a full-time Health/PE teacher at Toorak College, you will:
1. Play a crucial role in promoting physical fitness, healthy habits, and teamwork among our students through a diverse range of sports and activities.
2. Develop and implement engaging physical education programs, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to embrace an active and healthy lifestyle.
3. Plan, deliver, and assess PE Curriculum for students of all abilities.
4. Develop lesson plans that meet educational standards and adapt them to individual student needs.
5. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during physical activities.
6. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education with broader school goals.
Specific classes and year levels taught will be determined according to the candidate’s expertise, experience, and operational requirements. Candidates with experience from Years 7-12 will be highly regarded.
About You:
You are passionate about all things Health & Physical Activity and effortlessly adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Experience teaching International students within the mainstream classroom is considered advantageous.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Degree qualified in Secondary (Health/PE) Education.
2. VIT registration essential.
3. Demonstrated experience and passion for teaching PE to Years 7-12 students.
4. Excellent communication skills and strong ability to connect with and motivate students.
5. A proven capacity for innovative, flexible and research-based teaching practice.
