Workshop Manager (Structural Steel Fabrication)CGC Recruitment have partnered for a key client for the recruitment of a Workshop Manager for their structural Steel Fabrication business based South of the River.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include: Drive productivity and effectively lead teams of Supervisors and Trade personnel.Coordinate the day-to-day project fabrication activities working closely with key stakeholders across departments including fabrication, engineering, and construction teams.Successful delivery of allocated fabrication projects on time and within budget.Identify plant, operational and process improvement opportunities.The ability to read and understand complex drawings, lead pre-starts and toolbox talk discussions, perform take offs and order materials, track productivity and complete daily/weekly reports.The successful candidate will possess the following: Solid fabrication background possessing a Boiler making Trade Qualification.A strong commitment to Safety.A proven track record in supervising fabrication projects and personnel within a Workshop environment.Strong planning and operational coordination experience.Solid written and verbal communications skills.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Highly self-motivated with a delivery focused attitude.What does the role offer in return: A fantastic base salary of up to $180,000.00 + Superannuation.A permanent role based South Of The River.Monday to Friday Workshop based.Ability to work with a bespoke OEM engineering, manufacturing business.What to do next?
