Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of our trading teams in Sydney.
Responsibilities
Monitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio risk
Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase
Managing ongoing projects with various Tower support teams
Coordinating software and hardware upgrades
Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations
Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
3+ years of professional experience in a related field
Strong software development skills in Python
Working knowledge of Linux operating system
Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions
Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications
Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments
Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance
Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team
Strong understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving abilities
