Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or Fitter for mining component and machine rebuilds for a Leading workshop. A full-time, permanent role within a growing organization. Monday to Friday,
* Requires: At least 3 years of experience servicing large-scale earthmoving or mining equipment.
* Salary guide: $40 - $50 per hour + overtime, depending on experience.
* Newcastle Region, New South Wales
* Sponsorship available for the right candidate with the required experience.
Your normal day will involve:
* Servicing, repairing, and rebuilding a wide range of heavy-duty mining and construction equipment following OEM guidelines.
* Fault-finding and diagnosing equipment malfunctions, either independently or in consultation with the team to determine the best repair methods.
* Accurately processing returns of unused or irreparable materials
* Only day shifts in the workshop

You will need:
* Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience with heavy machinery, ideally within the mining industry.
* Relevant Trade Qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Mechanic works.
* Experience in servicing, diagnosing, and fault identification in large-scale earthmoving equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system drawings and schematics.
* Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Current Australian driver’s license.
* Permanent residency in Australia.
* Advantageous: CAT dealer training is highly regarded.
