The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will lead and oversee complex, mission-critical IT infrastructure projects. This role is crucial in driving the organization’s technological advancements and ensuring IT infrastructure projects align with our client’s strategic goals. The Project Manager will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving the security posture, and fostering innovation within the organization.
This position involves managing all phases of project delivery, from planning and resource allocation to execution, monitoring, and closure.
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager ensures that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Key Accountabilities:
* Project Management: Deliver projects to a professional standard, ensuring adherence to internal and external policies, standards, and procedures.
* Leadership and Negotiation: Lead teams and negotiate across divisions and stakeholders, including internal, external, and client groups.
* Team Development: Motivate and manage the Project Delivery team, driving performance and fostering professional growth.
* Customer Satisfaction: Proactively manage customer needs, expectations, and satisfaction, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Delivery Framework: Ensure the project adopts the appropriate delivery framework/methodology.
* Product Delivery: Oversee product delivery and implementation, ensuring all documentation is completed and meets customer acceptance criteria.
* Vendor Management: Manage external vendors, including RFT processes, project tracking, relationship management, and deliverable monitoring.
* Change Management: Lead change management activities, including training and service transition.
* Additional Tasks: Perform tasks as directed by the Program Manager.
Selection Criteria:
* Project Management Expertise:
o Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager.
o Delivered at least 3 large projects for complex organizations using contemporary methodologies.
* Technical Oversight:
o Experience managing IT infrastructure projects including Hybrid Cloud Compute, Storage, Network, Security, Identity, OS refresh, Databases, and Unified Communications.
* Vendor Management:
o Proven track record managing external vendors, defining scope, and overseeing delivery.
* Team Leadership:
o Extensive experience leading and motivating diverse internal teams, ensuring effective collaboration in high-pressure environments.
* Adaptability and Agility:
o Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects and pivot between different project requirements.
* Certification:
o Certified in PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent methodologies preferred.
* Reporting and Forecasting:
o Proficiency in managing project financials, schedules, and reporting using Enterprise Project Management tools.
* Change Management:
o Strong ITIL change management and service transition experience, along with organizational change management capabilities.
* Compliance and Security:
o In-depth knowledge of law enforcement regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
* Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
