Sunbury and Cobaw Community Health is a not-for-profit community health organisation providing a comprehensive range of free and low-cost health, wellbeing and community services in early childhood, youth, families, adults, aged and disability.

Covering an area of over 1700 km2 from Sunbury to beyond the borders of Macedon Ranges Shire our 200 staff and 70 volunteers are based across four sites at Kyneton, Romsey, Sunbury.

About the Role
This position presents an opportunity to provide high quality care to public dental patients. As a dental assistant you will be responsible for supporting the oral health unit in the provision of efficient and effective dental health services to clients in accordance with appropriate clinical standards and policies to ensure an integrated approach to client care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide clinical chairside assistance to our dentists, dental therapists and oral health therapists within the Sunbury clinic and offsite during outreach services and Smile Squad.
2. Assist in re-processing of instruments, which may include podiatry and dental instruments.
3. Administrative support to the dental team as required.
About You
You:
* Embrace diversity and actively promote respect for all clients, staff and stakeholders.
* Hold a Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
* Have a minimum 12-months recent experience working as a dental assistant within Australia or New Zealand.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undertake and maintain a National Criminal History Check, NDIS Safety Screening, Working With Children Check and hold valid Australian working rights.
