We are seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
Suitable applicants should be committed to factoring student wellbeing and voice in their decision-making and working collaboratively to deliver a quality educational program that fosters critical thinking and creativity. Suitable applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and be committed to fostering and maintaining positive communication and relationships within the school and wider community.
Applicants who are able to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, implement play-based and creative inquiries and follow whole school approaches and programs (such as Creative Schools, Empowering Leaders in Mathematics, Talk for Writing and Letters and Sounds) are encouraged to apply. You should exhibit a strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. Suitable applicants should also possess the ability to plan for school improvement using and responding to all data sources, ensuring curriculum and pedagogical development is current, data informed and ongoing. Knowledge of High Impact Teaching Strategies and the Science of Reading would be an advantage.
Applicants who are also highly competent in the integration of Information and Communications Technology, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and digital technologies are encouraged to apply. Upper primary applicants will ideally have experience with the demands of Year 6 schooling, including supporting Student Leadership opportunities. All teachers, including Senior Teachers and Level 3 Classroom Teachers will be supported to take on leadership roles where possible.

12. complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
13. complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
