Job Description
We are currently looking for a Regulatory Change and Compliance Manager. The key purpose of this role is to ensure that VWFS meets regulatory compliance obligations and operational risks through the maintenance, improvement and implementation of regulatory changes and managing and mitigating regulatory compliance risk across the enterprise.
Roles and responsibilities:
* Successful execution of regulatory initiatives by providing specialist risk and compliance advice to the business in leading the identification, impact analysis, coordination and monitoring of business response/change readiness programs and actions, post implementation review, and overall governance of regulatory change management.
* Develop and build risk and compliance capabilities through policy, training, controls, monitoring and reporting.
* Maintaining the overall Regulatory Change program plan, defining key milestones and critical path, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Risk & Compliance Regulatory Change process.
* Analyse, interpret, and assess the impact of regulatory changes on VWFSA’s operations, identifying solutions that meet compliance requirements in a timely manner.
* Translate business needs and regulatory requirements into detailed, actionable plans.
* Provide status updates on regulatory actions and initiatives with the Executive Manager Operational Risk and Compliance/Functional Director and escalate any risks, issues or dependencies that may impact progress.
* Collaborate with senior executives, legal, risk, and business units to define objectives, gather requirements, and drive decision-making.
* Act as key interface between technical teams and business units to assess the impact of new regulations on business processes, products, and services, and recommend appropriate actions.
* Manage VWFS’ policy framework e.g. governance, monitoring, reporting in alignment with regulatory changes.
* Develop and deliver training and training materials on regulatory changes, operational risk and compliance to VWFS staff and Business Managers at dealerships.
* Maintain and improve all risk, obligations and controls registers, including those required for NCCP and AML/CTF.
The successful applicant:
* Previous experience in regulatory compliance and delivering projects within highly complex environments is desirable.
* Advanced capability to interpret complex regulations and develop actionable strategies with multiple dependencies and tight timelines.
* Extensive understanding of regulatory landscape for financial services and regulatory obligations arising from NCCPA, AML/CTF Laws, ASIC and Privacy Law.
* Previous experience within a risk function at a managerial/supervisory level, preferably within the motor finance industry.
* Proven project management/delivery experience and the ability to drive change.
* Quality focus by applying quality principles and practices to work processes on a daily basis to achieve continuous improvement in customer focus and organisational effectiveness and efficiency.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
