Clinical/Medical Research (Healthcare & Medical)Government - State (Government & Defence)$61.20- $65.56 per hour plus 11.5% superannuationMater Mothers Hospital is looking for a Clinical Data Manager to join the Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU).This permanent, part-time role is based at our South Brisbane campus.The occupant will fully participate in the success of the Mater by living the core values in word and deed, adhering to the Mater Code of Conduct, and exceeding in their provision of administrative support, quality improvement, and clinical practice improvement.This position is within Mater Health with a close relationship with Digital Technology and Information, and any appointment will be in accordance with the Mission and Values of the Mater.ResponsibilitiesDay-to-day management of the Babies on Board (BoB) database system, including data entry and data cleansing.Supporting training for BoB users and ensuring access to BoB is available to all staff who require it, including new Mater NCCU staff.Administration of the BoB database system, including reviewing, prioritizing, and working with developers to implement changes, improvements, and upgrades.Collating, reporting, and submission of data reports, including reporting to the Australia and New Zealand Neonatal Network (ANZNN).Providing data analytics reports for research or quality improvement projects within the NCCU and Mater research and reports to support budget and financial projections.Participating and contributing to the NCCU leadership, operational, and service delivery meetings.About YouYou will have a Bachelor of Science/Applied Science or equivalent and evidence of independent research and a track record of publications.You will also meet the below criteria:Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Sound understanding of the principles of high-quality research, including research integrity and ethical principles.Knowledge of neonatal perinatal medicine, including the use of equipment used in neonatal intensive care desirable.Ability to function as a local resource.Ability to work harmoniously within a team and communicate effectively at all levels.Skills in study design, data analysis, literature review, and/or critical appraisal of evidence desirable.Previous experience in clinical or health research, particularly in neonatal or associated field.Experience with data analysis tools and techniques or willingness and capacity to learn highly desirable (e.g.SQL Server, statistical programming).Applications close on Thursday 5th December 2024.
