Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) required to assist in the architecture, deployment & operations of a Federal Agency's Azure environment.
Initial 6-month contract (possible 2 x 6-month extension options). No Award applies for this role: Rates from $120.00 per hour are offered (inclusive of superannuation and casual loading) - dependent on skills and experience. 8 hours per day - 38 hours per week. Australian Citizens required due to Fed Gov Environment - Baseline Clearance preferred. Locations: Canberra, ACT. Hybrid work arrangements. About the Role: A Federal Government Agency requires a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) to assist in the architecture, deployment, and operations of their Azure environment. The successful candidate will have strong stakeholder engagement skills and be able to join a small cohesive team in an ambiguous environment.
Skills & Experience: Experience automating deployment of Azure resources. Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise work and manage expectations. Highly regarded skills and experience include: Configuring and managing Git repositories and development environments (GitHub/GitHub Enterprise/Azure DevOps). Intermediate to advanced PowerShell skills, especially with Azure. Understanding and experience with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework. Development using .Net, JavaScript or Python. Real world AI experience. Business analysis (e.g. work with stakeholders to define requirements). Understanding of Australian Government IT system security processes and requirements (e.g. IRAP, ISM, Essential 8).
