HammondCare Hammondville (Southwood Cottage) is currently looking for several Permanent, Part-Time Specialised Carers to join our team.
Our Cottage-style home provides evidence-based dementia care to our residents. We have modelled our cottages to feel like ‘home’ for the residents in our care. Day to day, you will provide:
* Personal care – showering, grooming, toileting, dressing, pad changes
* Domestic assistance - cooking, cleaning and laundry
* Engagement with the residents, ensuring they are involved in the activities they WANT to do.
* Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in the conditions of residents within your skills and competencies.

All new staff will complete a mandatory onsite orientation with a Workplace Trainer, have buddy shifts and be supported by experienced Registered Nurses, Allied Health team and Managers on site.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have a minimum of 1 year experience in Aged Care/Dementia Care
* Have knowledge of complex dementia care including challenging behaviours
* Be flexible and able to commit to a range of shifts including nights & weekends.
* Have knowledge & experience of people living with Dementia & their needs.
* Applicants with Cert lll or Cert lV in Aged Care would be viewed favourably.
