The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a recent economics graduate to join Macromonitor, in a full-time, Graduate Economist role. The successful applicant will contribute to a wide range of economic research and forecasting projects, and will be mentored to develop skills in economic analysis and forecasting. Supported by our team of economists, you will develop the technical and business skills needed to undertake economic consulting projects. From the start of your employment you will do work that is important to our clients and, as you progress, you will become increasingly responsible for data analysis, producing forecasts and communicating economic insights.The role: The Graduate Economist will initially help our economists with a range of research and analysis tasks, including:Researching construction projects, Learning about a variety of sources of data and updating databases, Updating charts and tables for inclusion in reports, Learning about forecasting techniques and producing forecasts of selected variables, and Contributing to written reports, client data and newsletters.
