We work on a wide variety of interesting projects including impact assessments, management plans, ambient monitoring, GHG reporting amongst others. These projects span Australia, New Zealand, PNG and the Pacific Islands.ResponsibilitiesYou will slot in seamlessly to our Air Quality team in Australia, as we aim to grow our footprint across APAC! You will be responsible for the following:Undertake air quality impact assessments for a variety of clients across Australia.Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to grow our offering in Air Quality.Prepare proposals, budget estimates, project management and delivery of air quality projects.Work cooperatively with SLR staff across Australia and New Zealand on a range of Air Quality and multidiscipline projects.Work within local regulations and with local regulators to deliver the above.Skills and experienceYou will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and love getting things done to a very high standard. You are self-driven and comfortable with processes, whilst still being an excellent people person with a high level of client service. Ideally you would possess the following:University qualifications (bachelor’s degree or higher) in Environmental Science or a related field.5+ years’ experience as an Air Quality specialist and preferably within a consulting environment.A high level of understanding of the local regulatory environment and best practice air quality assessments methods and analysis.Proficiency in air quality modelling software (e.g., TAPM, AERMOD, CALPUFF, GRAL), GIS applications, and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel).Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.Be able to work independently with support from the wider SLR Air Quality team and other SLR disciplines as required.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Relevant certifications such as CAQP are highly desirable.We are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
