Job Description
The Head of Department acts as principal advisor/consultant to the Rockingham Peel Group (RkPG) Executive Team on all issues impacting on pharmaceutical services and issues impacting RkPG and assists with management of pharmaceutical services/resources across RkPG. Holds the Poisons Permit for RkPG. Provides professional consultancy, support and guidance to pharmacy staff across RkPG at an expert level of practice. Plans, implements, co-ordinates and evaluates the clinical pharmacy services to or within relevant clinical teams, and provides a clinical pharmacy service to clinicians and clients using expert pharmacy knowledge and clinical practice skills.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
