The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.
You will be based at Launceston General Hospital, working directly with a team of 8. In a hospital setting, strong relationships between the multidisciplinary team are essential to contribute to an outstanding inpatient and outpatient service. Together with the wider Tasmanian Orthotics and Prosthetic Service, you will be offered support and guidance from an internationally experienced team from Hobart and the state’s North West.
The Role:
* Provide leadership to the orthotic and/or prosthetic clinical teams within OPST.
* Coordinate the provision of an efficient and effective orthotic and/or prosthetic service, which includes facilitating consumer perspectives in service design, and providing support and training for clinical, technical, and administrative teams.
* Provide client-centred, evidence-based orthotic and prosthetic services for clients, involving effective collaboration with peer services, interdisciplinary teams, and referrers.
You will need:
* Senior experience in prosthetic management from interim to definitive.
* Supervision and mentoring of junior colleagues.
* Acute orthotics experience to assist with inpatient service and patient flow.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

$110,425 to $126,703 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022 .

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
* Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
* Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics, and evidence of membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association.
* Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
