Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is a Perth based role, working from our client’s warehousing facility on a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.Wood “Operations” delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent Energy and LNG producers with operations in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Southeast Asia.Wood is currently recruiting for Offshore Materials Controllers to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. This role is a long-term commitment role and is available on a permanent full-time / part-time (job share) basis.You must have full work rights to work in Australia.Ideally, you will hold an upper-secondary (equivalent to ISCED Level 3) qualifications from a recognised institution and have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in materials / logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have:Qualifications for dangerous Goods by Sea & AirManual handling / Forklift licence and experienceVaried and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principlesPrevious experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP)The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordinglyBe commercially astute with a “solutions mindset”, sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirementsBe customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwoodWhat will set you apart is your demonstrated experience in Materials Handling / Logistics (including manual use of equipment) and best practice knowledge of warehousing of O&G materials as per industry & client standards.It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow’s solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.
