The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine. We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors. About the Role: Are you a dynamic and driven HR professional looking to make an impact in the mining industry? Join our team at the CSA Mine, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting our workforce and driving HR excellence. As a HR Advisor, you’ll be a trusted partner to leaders and employees, providing expert guidance on HR policies, procedures, and initiatives. You’ll contribute to creating a high-performing workplace by ensuring compliance, fostering employee engagement, and supporting retention & development strategies. Key Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to managers and employees. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including workforce planning, advertising, interviewing, and onboarding. Partner with department heads to address workforce challenges and implement solutions. Support employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary processes. Ensure compliance with employment laws, site agreements, and company policies. Assist with training, development programs, and succession planning initiatives. Drive engagement activities to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Maintain accurate HR records and contribute to reporting and analytics. About You: A degree in Human Resources or a related field. Proven experience in a similar HR Advisor role, ideally within mining, construction, or heavy industry. Strong understanding of employment laws and industrial relations in Australia. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with exceptional problem-solving skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Conditions: This position is ideally residentially based, following a 5/2, 4/3 roster. We are open to discussing hybrid working arrangements for the right candidate. However, please note that at least 50% of your roster must be spent on-site at the CSA Mine. Drive-in-drive-out and fly-in-fly-out (from Sydney or Brisbane only) commute options are negotiable.
