About this Position We're on the lookout for a hands-on, service-focused Transport Manager to lead our transport operations and a team of 70+ dedicated drivers at our Knoxfield Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and support 70 drivers and a scheduling team across a 7-day transport operation.Service Excellence: Collaborate closely with Customer Service and Warehouse teams to ensure delivery standards, driver support, and timely execution.Compliance & Safety: Own all aspects of Chain of Responsibility (COR), driver hours, food safety regulations, vehicle servicing, driver audits, and WorkSafe audits.Operational Oversight: Lead a team of AM/PM supervisors to ensure efficient scheduling, routing, and execution of multi-drop deliveries across the network.Problem Solving & Urgency: Step in and step up when needed - if a driver calls in sick or a truck breaks down, you're the one keeping the show on the road.Relationship Building: Build trust with your driver team and other internal departments - we value empathy, communication, and respect.Continuous Improvement: Be part of exciting change - we're working on smarter routing, reducing at-fault incidents, improving fleet longevity, and leveraging technology for better outcomes.What Success Looks Like (6–12 months) Strong safety and compliance culture embedded across the transport department.Drivers feel supported and respected.Minimal service failures - just seamless delivery experiences.Improved scheduling and routing efficiencies.Operational collaboration is humming across the site.Customers are happy, our fleet is running safely, and your team feels proud to be here.What We're Looking For To thrive in this role, you will bring:

Important Details Location: Based on-site in Knoxfield - local candidates or those living nearby strongly preferredHours: Flexibility is essential - operations run 4am-7pm, with the occasional 10am startYou'll partner with a Sunday-Thursday Scheduler and weekend Supervisors to ensure 7-day transport coverage (you won't need to be onsite weekends, unless it's urgent).Regular comms, performance conversations, and hands-on leadership are part of your toolkit.Cold chain/temperature-controlled delivery experience is highly regarded.Culture & Values Customer Focus Know your external and internal customers.
