Hume Vehicle Inspection, Technical and Audit Unit ManagerFull-time PermanentDetails: The Vehicle Safety and Standards (VSS) team is responsible for vehicle inspections and vehicle safety compliance held at the Hume Motor Vehicle Inspection Station (MVIS) which includes light vehicle, heavy vehicle, public vehicle, and modified vehicle inspections and vehicle identity checks.The position involves the management of the Vehicle Inspection, Technical and Audit Unit (VITAU) Vehicle on-road compliance, and implementation of compliance operations; managing the AES team, training, and supervising staff members; assisting the MVIS Manager to manage day-to-day operational needs of the MVIS and work closely with external stakeholders such as engineering signatories and ACT Policing.We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where people with diverse thoughts, lived experience, and perspectives can thrive and contribute their unique talents to the ACTPS and ACT community.
