This statewide company is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the finance team based in Ulverstone in a permanent, part-time capacity.
Your new role
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing the weekly payroll for a large scale volume of employees under a mix of Enterprise Agreements, various awards, and common law contracts. You will also handle payroll queries, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards. You will report to the Finance Manager and work closely with the Administration team, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure payroll accuracy and timeliness.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience in a similar large volume payroll position
* Proficiency in using payroll software and computer packages/software
* Knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and tax
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
* Confident personality and the ability to be proactive
